A grid of receivers are evenly spaced on the sea floor. While towing the source all receivers are actively recording at all times enables the generation of resistivity-depth volumes by performing 3D inversion of the complete receiver grid. The volumes will provide assessments of the resistivity distribution of the survey area giving a clear indication if the structure contains hydrocarbons or not.
