We perform integration at various levels. It can simply entail co-rendering for example depth-converted seismic and 3D EM, where the aim is to look for trends in the data before any attempts are made to combine them tighter. For example, a seismic direct hydrocarbon indicator (DHI) and an EM DHI in the same location will lower the risk after a Clearplay Test survey.
Tighter integration
Tighter integration means combining more data sets into the Earth model. We do this through constrained inversion and full-survey 3D modelling. Here we apply constraints on our EM inversion based on seismic data and well logs, if available, and we produce one model that satisfies all the data.
Interpretation
The interpretation stage is the more subjective, and we do our utmost to enable our clients to interpret the data in any given area. After all, the client has the best overall understanding of all the available data. We strive to cover the EM angle of the interpretation, so that our clients can focus on the integrated interpretation.
Technology and products
- We use our inversion and modelling schemes to depth convert EM data, to integrate seismic and well data and to test interpretation hypotheses.
- We provide all our products in SEG Y so that they can be integrated on any work station.
